Conditioning Treatments Why?

Hair can become thirsty, or porous over time due to the outside elements and because of all of the things we do to it. When your to the point of knowing your hair needs some attention but don't know what to do, start with a deep conditioning treatment.

Deep Conditioning Treatments, What are they? How do they work?

A deep hair conditioning treatment doesn't just act on the surface and coat the hair as a normal conditioner does. Instead it penetrates deeply into the hair shaft itself to help restore moisture and some are formulated to repair some damage.

These treatments usually call for a five minute leave on hair and can be left on the hair for up to 20 minutes or even longer before rinsing them out. Additionally going under the hood dryer can help raise the cuticle for further penetration of the deep conditioner. Rinsing with cool water will close the cuticle and your hair will feel amazing!

Most deep conditioning treatments work by helping to smooth down the cuticle (the outer layer of the hair) in order to make the hair appear smooth, shiny and feel soft and silky to touch. If the cuticle is raised then the hair will appear dry and frizzy. A good hair conditioning treatment will also contain natural ingredients and oils that will help provide your hair with moisture as well as deliver important nutrients to help repair the hair.
